DR DOOLITTLE, TRING COURT THEATRE
Tickets available for Saturday 22nd April, various performances.
Join Dr Doolittle on a perilous voyage to distant islands, discover the Great Pink Sea Snail then fly through the skies on a Giant Lunar Moth. With a live band and classics such as ‘I’ve Never Seen Anything Like It’ and ‘Talk To The Animals’, this is a whirlwind of a show is suitable for all ages.
ST GEORGE’S DAY ROYAL HISTORICAL FAYRE FREE – AYLESBURY
Step back in time at Aylesbury Town Council’s FREE St George’s Day Royal Historical Fayre and Parade on Sunday 23 April, 11am -3pm.
Events include:
- The chance to meet Queen Victoria, King Charles II, King Henry VIII, King Edward I, Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine and Queen Elizabeth I.
- Watch the incredibly talented Unbound Theatre’s Horrible Histories performances and storytelling
- Play traditional English garden games on the museum’s lawn
- Get stuck into plenty of arts, crafts, games and activities for the whole family to enjoy in the Learning Zone – perfect whatever the weather! – including crown and bunting making for the King’s Coronation
- Can you solve the treasure trail quiz?
- Meet St George himself alongside his Lady in Waiting in Market Square before he leads our parade from 3pm.
- You’re in for a royally fantastic day out!
- Join us at Discover Bucks Museum from 11am-3pm. The Parade will take place in Market Square from 3pm. This event is entirely free!
BLUEBELL WALKS – FREE
There are lots of great bluebell walks you can enjoy this weekend. The Times named Hodgemoor Woods, nr. Seer Green the best place in the UK to see bluebells.
Dockey Wood near Ashridge is always spectacular but gets busy. It’s free to visit this weekend but the National Trust start charging at peak times from 29th April. Find out more here.

On Sunday 23rd April join Dadima’s 5-mile guided bluebell walk starting from Lewknor. It’s free to attend but you need to book.
FOR THE GROWNS UPS… SALT ACID HEAT COCKTAIL DEMO at Puddingstone Distillery.
Sat 22nd April 1pm and 3pm, £5pp. Enjoy an afternoon of sipping three different cocktails with flavours centred around salt, acid and heat in Puddingstone’s beautiful distillery just outside Tring, Herts.
