Here are my short and sweet winter walks for you. No great slopes and not too muddy – ideal for little or tired legs with fun things to spot along the way. Plus where to refuel afterwards.
❄️ Cholesbury Iron Age Fort. Park at St Lawrence’s Church, Parrott’s Lane HP23 6ND and follow the track round on a 1.5 mile loop.
☕️Try the super Chiltern Velo cafe or The Full Moon, Hawridge for great 🍺 and lunch.
❄️ Hambleden Mill – fun river crossing – click here for a great 2 mile stroll which passes the Flower Pot Inn. Lovely local produce, hot drinks and cakes from the nearby Hambleden village stores ❤️
🧀 Don’t miss the super cheese, toasties, deli and hot drinks at Nettlebed Creamery – a short drive away.
❄️ Coombe Hill -great views even on a gloomy day. There’s a 1 mile loop from the main car park to the monument and back. Great for 🪁
☕️ Refuel at Buckmoorend Farm cafe which sells hot drinks, lunches and has fab farm shop or visit the top chocolatier Rumseys in nearby Wendover for a delicious hot chocolates and all the chocolatey treats you can dream of!
