FREE- THE CORONATION LIVE SCREENINGS
Lots of the bigger towns in and around the Chilterns– Henley, Watford, Hemel Hempstead , Leighton Buzzard, Luton, Dunstable and Marlow – will all have big screens up on Saturday 6th May so you can enjoy a picnic and watch the Coronation live. Chesham’s Elgiva Theatre will showing the ceremony live free of charge (a good option if it’s raining) as well St Alban’s Cathedral and St Peter’s Church in St Albans.
FREE – RED ARROWS FLYPAST
More than 60 military aircraft are taking part in the flypast on Coronation Day including the iconic Red Arrows and Spitfires from Battle of Britain.
The flypast will peak with the aircraft flying over The Mall and Buckingham Palace at approx. 2.30pm on Saturday 6th May.
Experts suggest those living in Beaconsfield, Marlow, Chesham and Buckinghamshire should keep their eyes open for the fly past between 2.20-3pm. Those in Oxfordshire may well see the 16 helicopters from RAF Benson flying on their way to and from the display.
FREE – THE KINGS WARDROBE TRAIL, ST ALBANS
Enjoy this free story trail with interactive QR codes around St Albans and see what the King’s friends suggest he wears for his coronation. There are mini challenges, items to try on and take photos with and when you’ve met all 10 you can see the fully prepared King in augmented reality. Starting at the Clock Tower. On until 14th May.
FREE HENLEY FLOTILLA
2 – 4pm, Monday 8th May. A flotilla of decorated boats will make their way from Hambleden Lock to Marsh Lock and back, with spectators cheering on from the riverbanks.
FREE MARLOW’S PARTY LIKE A KING
Saturday 6th May 11am-5pm, Higginson Park. This free community event will have family fun with rides, games, stalls, face painting, entertainment and food available. There’s also a May Fayre and Duck Race along the Thames.

Sunday 7th and Bank Holiday Monday 8th. Ticket prices vary.
