Why I’m hosting The Pause

Out and About

Everyone from Oprah to Davina McCall is talking about peri/menopause. It’s great that menopause and its myriad of symptoms being openly discussed and is no longer shrouded in shame and mystery. Afterall, every single woman on the planet who lives long enough will experience it.

But (and this is a big BUT) for those of us approaching peri/menopause age or living with the symptoms now, there’s a lot noise to cut through to and it’s hard to know whose opinion to trust…

Is this perimenopause?

I’ve found myself increasingly asking myself this question when it comes to different things I experience – anxiety, difficulty sleeping, tiredness and muscle pains….

Is this hormones or stress? Or being a busy/exhausted mum trying to juggle too much? Do I need to start HRT and if so, when? What kind of HRT do I need? Or is HRT bad for me?

And how do I find out the answers…?

Despite the current media coverage about the menopause, there’s still a long way to go when it comes to accessing the right support and information.

So many of us are searching for the answers ourselves.  It’s not just our physical health that’s affected by changes in hormones, our emotional and mental health can suffer too.

You can waste a lot of time and energy without getting the support you need to feel better.

This is why I have created The Pause, a special one-day retreat to support women like you and me.

This retreat will equip us with the knowledge that we all need to navigate this phase of our lives. We’ll come away knowing how to cope physically, mentally and emotionally.

We don’t just have to ‘put up with it’, we can be in control and thrive in the next stage of our lives.

All the speakers have been selected because they are leading experts and will focus on what affects us most in peri/menopause.

YOU’LL LEARN:

  • all about peri/menopause & possible symptoms
  • how to sleep, relax & exercise
  • the best diet & nutrition for you
  • how to manage stress & anxiety
  • the best ways to care for yourself
